Join us for Spooky Winch – A city-wide Halloween-themed Spooky Word Hunt!
Winchester Business Independent District (BID) are organising a free and fun-filled, Halloween-themed trail activity for kids and big kids alike this October and for the half-term week. The Spooky Winch Word Hunt will run from Monday 21 October to Saturday 2 November 2019.
Simply search and find all nine Halloween-themed pumpkin signs displayed in the windows of local businesses across the city centre, before returning your completed activity sheet to either the Tourist Information Centre or Winchester Discovery Centre. At these two locations you can then redeem a Halloween-themed goody bag and you can also be entered into a cash prize draw to win £50, £100 or £200.

“We are very excited to be hosting Spooky Winch, with many local businesses getting involved in this year’s Halloween-theme seasonal activity. This is a great opportunity for us to connect with local businesses and other local partner organisations to help promote everything that Winchester has to offer this October.
The Spooky Winch Word Hunt is a great way of introducing people to all the different areas of the city and is a fun familiarisation activity centred around the heart of our beautiful heritage city.”
The word hunt is open to all ages and the cash prizes* are attractive incentive to all. Winchester BID invites you to make a day of it and enjoy some of Winchester’s shops, cafes and restaurants along the way. You can get involved in fancy dress if you would like to and don’t forget to tag Winchester BID and #SpookyWinch on social media with your best spooky selfie to win a prize!
Download you Spooky Winch activity sheet or collect a copy from the Tourist Information Centre or Winchester Discovery Centre from Monday 21 October.
