We have been in touch with Team London Bridge, the Business Improvement District, working at the heart of the area to offer our support, whilst we acknowledge that terrorism continues to be a serious threat and that we all need to take necessary precautions.
Team London Bridge has worked closely with the Metropolitan Police, Better Bankside and Southwark Council for some time to ensure that our businesses are prepared – whether that be through tabletop exercises, Project Griffin and Argus sessions, dedicated communication channels, their BID funded police officer or the BCRP radio network. Once the dust has settled they have offered to share any learning with the wider BID community as this is sadly an issue affecting all commercial districts and something we can lead on together across the country.
Thank you TLB for the offer of support at a time when you are managing the aftermath of Saturday night’s horrific events.
ATCM has also been in touch with the Met’s Business Crime Hub who have provided an update which you can download by clicking here. You can also download a list of key sources of information as well as guidance for the General Election here. Whilst the update comes from a London source it provides useful information for all members.
We will be working with our partners over the coming weeks to support and help you prepare for possible future events so please keep in touch.
