Winchester Fashion Week is set to return to the city for its fifth consecutive year, from 21 – 25 April and is offering everyone who purchases a ticket, the chance to win a trip to Milan, the Fashion capital of the world!
This year’s Fashion Week is being delivered in partnership with Hampshire Life, Hotel Du Vin and The Independent Holiday Shop, sponsored by The University of Winchester and managed by Winchester BID (Winchester Business Improvement District).
The five day event will take place in the spring, from 21 – 25 April and will feature a series of not-to-be missed events around the city.
The events are inspired by Winchester’s rich cultural heritage and will celebrate the vibrant mix of the independent and national retail brands on offer. There will be something for everyone, with a varied mix of workshops, lectures, style advice sessions and shopping experiences taking place each day.
The week will culminate in a glamorous Catwalk Show at the prestigious Guildhall Winchester on Saturday 25 April. The finale will showcase a cross section of Winchester’s independent and national brands; including the likes of LK Bennett, Phase Eight, Jigsaw and Jeremy France Jewellers. As part of the Catwalk event at the Guildhall, guests will also be able to peruse a number of retailer stalls at the Fashion Fair.
Catherine Turness, BID Manager said: “Winchester boasts a diverse offering of retailers with an exciting mix of small independents and larger chain stores, it’s fantastic to see these businesses showcased throughout the week dedicated to fashion, beauty, lifestyle and creativity in our wonderful city. Winchester Fashion Week also provides us with the opportunity to engage with students from both The University of Winchester and Winchester School of Art and nurture the creative talent we have developing right here in the city.”
Winchester Fashion Week forms part of the Festivals in Winchester scheme which brings the city to life between April and September each year. Festival season provides a series of live arts and cultural festivals that inspire, intrigue and enchant thousands of visitors every year.
