Winchester Business Improvement District (BID) are deeply saddened by the devastating fire that has affected a number of businesses and buildings in The Square area of Winchester city centre this morning.

Our thoughts are with the business owners, their staff, residents and everyone impacted by this incident. We recognise the uncertainty and distress that events such as these bring, particularly for those whose livelihoods have been affected.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the emergency services and all partner agencies for their swift and professional response.

Winchester BID is in contact with the relevant agencies and will work closely with affected businesses to understand how we can support them during the recovery process. We encourage businesses to reach out to the BID team if they require assistance or guidance.

Winchester has a strong and resilient business community, and we know the city will come together to support those affected in the days and weeks ahead.

Our team can be contacted by calling 01962 841000, emailing enquiries@winchesterbid.co.uk or visiting our office at Winchester Business Hub, 32 St Thomas Street.
