Winchester BID have a busy week lined up with lots of activity to kick start Independent Business Month.
Tuesday 2 July – Hampshire Hour Twitter Takeover “The Future Of The High Street”
Join us at Winchester Business Centre from 6.30pm for drinks and pizza before a short Twitter workshop 7pm to 8pm with Hannah Banting from Winchester BID, Suzy Dierckx from Sociable Suzy and Miranda Rock from Rocket Launch PR, before we will host a live Tweet chat on the future of the high street and independent business month 8pm to 9pm.
Wednesday 3 July – Winchester BID Forum
The next Winchester BID Forum takes place from 5.30pm for a 6pm start at Guildhall Winchester. Come along for the BID quarterly update and to find out all about the BID’s Independents Advisory Group, the Station Approach development, Winchester City Council’s new Economic Development Strategy and the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
Thursday 4 July – Launch of the new #IndieWinch Pocket Map
We have produced a new map of Winchester that celebrates and promotes the independent shops and eateries in the city. A useful tool that can be used to help navigate around the city with stars marking the business locations, to help residents and visitors to shop, wine and dine independently. To celebrate the launch of the map, the 1 Independent Street pop up shop front will be out on the street in front of the City Museum in The Square. Come along anytime from 11am to 3pm. Come and collect your pocket maps, have a photo taken and tag us to help celebrate and promote the #IndieWinch independent business community.
