Winchester BID is pleased to be a partner of The Great Waste initiative, which is challenging the community to recycle more through a series of events, workshops and competitions. Many of the products we throw away at home can be reused or recycled to make new and wonderful things so we’re also helping The Great Waste to create a free directory of repair businesses in the city where the public can repair everyday items – clothes, shoes, watches, computers etc. If you would like to be included, please e-mail Catherine Turness at: catherine.turness@winchesterbid.co.uk
We were surprised to learn that only 34% of the district currently recycles and so we’d like to remind BID businesses that we have a recycling management service available, which is cost effective. To find out more, get in touch with us.
