We are delighted that Winchester BID has been nominated for a British BIDs Award after teaming up with local food and drink experts, Cabinet Rooms.
Cabinet Rooms approached the BID in 2014 with the vision of bringing a cocktail week to Winchester. This vision came to life in February 2016, with the first ever cocktail week gracing Winchester.
The week was a colourful collection of events which spanned the entirety of the city. From a sushi and sake evening held at Kyoto Kitchen, to gin masterclasses at The Green Man, and chocolate and cocktails at Chococo. A wristband enabled people to sample signature cocktails at heavily discounted prices in venues all across the city. The end of the week was celebrated with the Grand Finale Ball, held in the Guildhall. The party took a ‘cocktails through the ages’ theme where drinks from different eras were served; from the prohibition period right through to the electric eighties.
Now we have been shortlisted, you can vote for Winchester Cocktail Week to be crowned as the British BIDs 2016 proud Project. Voting is open online until 5pm on 7th November.
