The Green Impact scheme is now live and we urge you to sign up to this scheme coordinated by the Winchester City Council and the National Union of Students.

Green Impact is an environmental business support scheme with an awards element, designed to help you reduce your carbon emissions and operational costs, and make Winchester a greener, cleaner place to live and work.

Through Green Impact, every businesses in the Winchester area can access free support, and can choose to work towards a bronze, silver or gold level accreditation, evidencing their commitment to being a responsible business.

An online toolkit provides a step-by-step guide to easy improvements, and participants will gain access to a host of resources and support to guide them through the process.

To help you get started the Green Impact Team are also offering every business in Winchester a free 30 minute green health check, to help identify good practice, and create a plan for making improvements and achieving an award.

A Getting Started with Green Impact Workshop will be held on Wednesday 31 January 2018 and will comprise of a one hour workshop, followed by an informal networking/Q&A session.

The workshop will cover :

  • An introduction to Green Impact
  • Updates and improvements to year 2 of the programme
  • Tips and tricks on how to make the most of the scheme, from businesses who took part last year
  • The opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback and discuss next steps
