Customer Service Manager

We are looking for a confident, energetic and self-motivated Customer Service Manager. Issues and ‘snags’ can occur in a new home and we strive, through this role, to ensure quick and effective resolutions, to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.
You will be the key point of contact for our customers, ensuring their purchase experience and aftercare is of an exceptional standard and quality.
Being responsible for:
Pre-sales and after sales paperwork.
Site appearance including site hoarding and any dressing of houses for marketing photos (i.e. arranging furniture purchase, installation and removal).
Sales literature and website.
The final quality inspection of the property before it is handed over to the customer.
Attend the property for handover to our customers through a home introduction.
Manage customer queries/issues effectively and promptly.
Ensuring all customer details and communications are correctly recorded.
Take responsibility for the whole customer journey. This may involve occasional evening/weekend working.
Prepare NHBC HUG (Home User Guide).
Viewings/subsequent customer visits and arranging any customer changes.
Key Skills and Experience Required
Exceptional communication skills, the ability to deliver results and strong skills in managing customer expectations.
Ability to build good working relationships and trust at all levels, particularly with subcontractors.
Excellent communicator, pro-active and able to use own initiative.
Confident and flexible with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
To be able to assess the situation impartially and propose effective solutions based on fact.
Polite, friendly, presentable and professional.
Continually striving to improve performance and be the best in class.
Demonstrate time management skills, ability to prioritise and able to multi task.
Keep excellent records with attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience of letting or similar Property Management role.
ARLA qualified would be advantageous.
Demonstrate experience in working in a customer-facing role.
Ensure that customer service is an intrinsic part of the buying process and have a genuine desire to deliver first-class customer service.
Experienced user of Excel and Google Sheets.
Good written and verbal communications skills with a natural and engaging communication style, demonstrating a passion and excellence for customer contact and developing trusting relationships.
Technical experience within building, fault finding and construction in general would be an advantage.
What’s on Offer
Full time position.
25 days holiday + bank holidays.
£25 – £30k – salary dependent on experience.
Use of company pool car or mileage paid.
To be successful in this role you must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK and hold a full UK drivers licence.
