On Wednesday 20 September, Catherine Turness, the BID’s Executive Director and her team officially launched the campaign for a third term of Winchester BID.
Following a consultation period from February – July, BID Members were invited to comment on the Consultation Document to help shape the future mandate of the BID. As a result of the feedback, a Business Plan has been created outlining the proposals for the next five years, which has been posted to every voter and is available to view below.
You can download all documents relating to a third term of the BID here, including a ‘Map of the proposed BID area’, the ‘Full Proposal Document’ which outlines the ‘BID Levy Rules’ and ‘Baseline Statements’ with Winchester City Council, Hampshire County Council and Hampshire Constabulary. The statements provide details of the statutory and discretionary services to be delivered by the public bodies during a third term of the BID.
The ballot for a third term will commence on Thursday 5 October and will run until Thursday 2 November. For more details on the ballot process, you can watch the short video below. If you have any questions about the ballot, please e-mail Catherine Turness.
The outcome of the ballot will be announced on this webpage on Friday 3 November.
Whatever the outcome, Winchester BID will continue to operate until 31 March 2018, as this is when its second term officially ends. If successful at ballot, a third term of five years will commence on 1 April 2018.
